SECURE 24 – Terms and Conditions

  1. Applications are restricted to dental practices that provide NHS dental services commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board.
  2. All applications must be supported by appropriate quotations from established and reputable suppliers. The total amount claimed also needs to reconcile with the quotations provided. Otherwise, the application will be rejected.
  3. Please note that these are public monies, hence value for money will be considered by the Authorisation Committee. In this respect, they may request further quotations from different suppliers.
  4. There is a limited amount of money, hence the applications should offer value for money and clearly demonstrate the improvements to the security of the practice or staff safety this funding will achieve.
  5. General refurbishment costs, service and maintenance costs, expenditure relating to Health and Safety issues or applications which in the Authorisation Committees opinion offer limited security enhancement for the costs involved, will be rejected.
  6. Monies will be distributed on a pro-rota basis to NHS commitment levels, similar to business rates reimbursement. The declared NHS % commitment should be the same as that used for the NHS business rates relief scheme for the financial year 2024/25. The amount reclaimable will be reduced accordingly due the NHS commitment %. Proof might be requested.
  7. Approval to proceed by email will be given, with a finite amount reclaimable being notified. Any further expenditure incurred by the practice beyond this notified amount will not be refunded.
  8. In case of over-subscription, claims will be reduced proportionally, in addition to adjustments for NHS commitment.
  9. For multiple practice applications, each practice must be submitted individually.
  10. Dental practices must not consider any monies as claimable until their claim has been authorised by the Authorisation Committee and notified to the practice. Payment will only be made via cheque once the work has been done, appropriate invoices and proof of payment has been received. Some site visits maybe undertaken before payment is made.
  11. No expenditure incurred before the launch of this scheme on 14 May 2024 will be considered.
  12. Work undertaken without Authorisation Committee approval will not be eligible for reimbursement.
  13. Previous scheme beneficiaries may reapply, but applications for work already funded under the previous scheme will be rejected.
  14. All applicants must consent to potential site visits for compliance verification.
  15. If it later transpires that the reimbursement does not meet the NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board criteria for improving safety and security, the practice will be solely responsible for repaying any monies they have received directly back to the NHS.
  16. The decision of the Authorisation Committee is final.
